Infosys and NVIDIA Announce Technology Partnership

Software giant Infosys Technologies and US based NVIDIA, GPU inventor and world's visual technologies giant, have enter into a partnership to develop NVIDIA CUDA based software solutions, as a first step to which would be the set-up of the Infosys- NVIDIA Technology center at the Infosys campus.

The CUDA technology is being view as the next big uprising in the technology sector, looking to lend a new meaning to high performance computing. The software has been calculated to help developers of various applications to tap into the previously new power of the GPU. This could lead to a new high in performance levels of certain applications.

"CUDA could multiply by fifty times the potential of a computer and reduce run time to the advantage of user enterprises", shared NVIDIA co-founder and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang.

Santa Clara-headquartered, NVIDIA currently has design centers in Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore. With the partnership, Infosys is looking to make things easier for its customers, all the while finding ways to increase the company's existing proficiency and IPS in grid computing and parallel computing.
